1- Warm with southerly winds for today giving way to another front that will push into the region early this evening switching winds from southerly to northwesterly 15-25 mph gusting to 35mph overnight. This will increase the Fire Danger throughout the week. The highest fire danger days, per guidance will be Wednesday and Thursday.

2- Per the above, I will send out additional guidance for firefighters around mid-morning after the forestry guidance is posted. I will send this over the GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. There will be info for thee public too.

3- Overall, for today, enjoy the warmer temps but get prepared for strong northwesterly winds when the front arrives. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly cloudy this morning, then clearing. Patchy fog this morning. Not as cool with highs around 80. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
