0320L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/16/22

GARFIELD COUNTY EM IS YOUR BEST WAY OF BEING PREPARED HERE IN GARFIELD COUNTY

1- It appears the rain has missed us which is why we didn’t hold our breath so I would advise those that want to water the yard to do so. This front ushers in a cooler airmass and as another one heads our way; we might see our first freeze this Wednesday morning. It will be close. Tuesday morning we’ll be in the mid to upper 30s.

2- We sent several of our fire departments into Grant and Noble Counties yesterday as they had several large wildfires. Not sure how they started but it was a long afternoon for many departments. Hunter FD went to Grant County, Garber, Breckenridge, and Covington Fire went to Noble County. Keep in mind that even though we will be cooling off, the fire danger will remain elevated.

3- OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the lower 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
