0350L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/25/23

*HEAT ADVISORY in effect today from 11am until 9pm.  The Heat index is expected to be around 106 with high temps around 103. The good thing is that Saturday’s high will be in the 90’s and Sunday we’ll be in the upper 80’s with a chance, even though it’s low, for rain. We’ll see what happens.

*Check out the high temps on the graphic below and you’ll see relief written all over it. Just remember that it’s still summer and we will see higher temps again before fall arrives.

*Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, hot with highs around 103. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Heat index values up to 106 early in the evening.
