0325L- FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 8/22/25

A few more days of mostly warm temps and then we’ll see a dramatic cooldown with high temps in the upper 60s to low 70s. There will be some good rain chances with the cooler weather so be prepared for that. Those rain chances appear to start up possibly on Monday but there is a very low chance we could see some rain Saturday night. The upper high that’s been around for most of the summer will shift back west putting us under NW flow aloft so this means that rain may move in off the high plains of Colorado. We’ll wait and see what happens.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Friday- Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. Southeast winds around 5 mph, becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southeast after midnight.

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification, warning, and preparedness app. If you don’t have it, you’re NOT prepared!

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
