0305L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 8/26/25

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON TODAY.

Showers and embedded thunderstorms will continue but it appears the track will remain just to our south. This doesn’t mean we won’t see anything but the heavier rainfall may occur south of us instead of here. We received between 1 to 1.5 inches depending where you were yesterday. Please let me know your totals but remember to empty your gauges today before we receive any more rainfall.

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Tuesday- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall in the morning. Highs in the lower 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tuesday Night- Partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
