0250L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/20/25
The radar image is showing the outflow boundaries moving through the area at 0251L.
As I type, the gust front has arrived. We are expecting some gusts upwards of 40+ mph but so far we have reached 24 mph. The brunt of the storms appear like they will miss us but we still may see a shower this morning. We are expecting storms later today as a shortwave pushes through the area. Strong winds will be the main threat along with possibly hail. We’ll have to wait and see how that comes together.
Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Saturday-Partly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Saturday Night-Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid-60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
