0300L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 12/11/25

Another warm day is expected with gusty southwest winds. Our highs will be at least in the mid-60s. Now, the Fire Danger is rising slowly so if you see smoke or fire out there, call 911. Not expecting anything crazy but winds will be gusty.

Another cold front will traverse the area later tonight bringing a gusty windshift into the area overnight and into Friday. High temps will be a little cooler on Friday than today but then the Saturday front will bring strong winds and much colder temps for Saturday night and those temps will be in the teens on Sunday morning. We will see Sunday highs in the 30’s. TIMING for the front on Saturday, as of right now, appears to hit the area sometime between 3-6 pm. This will change a little so we’ll keep an eye out on this.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Thursday-Sunny. Highs in the mid-60s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 30s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest after midnight.
