WEDNESDAY WEATHER OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – 3/25/2026
Per NWS Norman, we’re looking at a warm and windy Wednesday. Expect sunny skies with highs pushing up around 92, with south southwest winds 8 to 13 mph and gusts up around 20 mph. It’s going to feel more like summer out there, especially in the afternoon hours.
As we head into Wednesday night, skies stay clear with temperatures only dropping to around 64. South winds will stick around 11 to 16 mph with gusts up near 25 mph, so not much of a cooldown overnight.
Looking ahead through the rest of the week, the fire weather will once again be something to keep an eye on. We’ll have elevated fire danger most days with the combination of warm temperatures, dry conditions, and steady wind. Right now, Thursday and Friday are shaping up to be the higher concern days for our area, where we could see near-critical fire weather conditions.
Overall, we’re settling into a hot, dry, and breezy pattern. If you’re planning any outdoor work, stay hydrated and be mindful of fire risk it won’t take much for one to get out of hand. If you see fire or smoke dial 911.
Have a great Wednesday!
