0255L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/12/24

*Clear skies, warmer temperatures, and low end wind, as compared to recent days. Enjoy the lower end winds as they will increase over the weekend along with the fire danger. Other than these few things, not too bad.

*Focus will be on Monday as we’ll have a storm system arrive with a strong threat for severe weather. Monday is the day to watch as of right now as ALL THREATS ARE POSSIBLE. Storms track and locations of convection are not known yet. As this system gets it act together, we’ll have better details as we move through the weekend. NOW is a good time to make sure that storm shelters are cleaned out and your PLANS for what you are going to do should be reviewed. Again, no need to panic but preparedness is advised.

*Overall, for today, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

Friday Night- Mostly clear. Not as cool with lows in the mid-50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
