0430L-FRIDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/27/18

1- Today and Saturday will be great days to be outdoors. Warm temps and light winds will be the main weather features so get out and get things done!!

2-The Governor’s burn ban has been lifted. We are no longer in the ban so make sure if you plan on burning, call it in to dispatch. If you need a list of fire department numbers here in GARFIELD COUNTY, they are on the GARFIELD COUNTY EM app under emergency contacts or on the back of our Preparedness Guides here- https://gcem.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Garfield-County-Family-Preparedness-Guide-2017.pdf

3-Now would be a good time to make sure you are STORM READY. Go over your emergency plans with your families and understand what everyone will do in the event the weather actually gets UGLY. Panic will occur if you wait to make major decisions during a storm or other event. UNDERSTAND YOUR PLAN BEFORE THE STORM.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind around 8 mph.

Friday Night-Clear, with a low around 47. Light and variable wind becoming south southwest 5 to 7 mph in the evening.
