0400L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-4/3/2020

1- WELCOME BACK TO WINTER!! 0345 ITS 30 DEGREES WITH A NORTH WIND AT 24 MPH GUSTING TO 32. WIND CHILL IS 16 DEGREES. Wear a coat today!! What else can I say?

2- We have a slight chance for possibly some drizzle or rain. If our temps remain below freezing while this occurs, some elevated areas may become slick. I don’t anticipate that for sure but it could happen if we see any precip. After sunrise, we could see some rainfall but drier air is moving towards us and should be moving in to avert that situation. Timing is the key. We’ll see what happens. HERE is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday- Cloudy. 30% chance of rain showers in the morning. Much colder with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. North winds 15 to 25 mph.

Friday Night-Partly cloudy with lows in the lower 30s. North winds 10 to 20 mph.

DIRECTORS COMMENT

I sent out a late post last night concerning the testing event at the expo center today. I didn’t mention the symptoms you needed to have for testing. ONLY ONE IS NEEDED FOR THIS. They are temperature of 100.4 or above OR shortness of breath OR cough. Please be truthful as these are health professionals looking at you and we want those that are actually suffering from one of the three symptoms or more to be tested. AFTER you get tested, go back home and stay warm. Hopefully you get better soon. Overall, the event should go pretty smooth, just be patient.

If anyone has a recipe for getting rid of stress headaches, let me know.

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY AND STAY SAFE.
