FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-FRIDAY 8/4/17

I was hoping for some rain last night but there is always tonight, Saturday, and early Sunday. Somewhere along the way, we’ll get lucky with some more rainfall. The SW part of our county is in a MODERATE drought and the NE 2/3rds is in an Abnormally dry area. More rain is definitely needed.

Look at the attached graphs and you see where we are in the drought, severe weather potential, and the seven day forecast. Speaking of the forecast, here’s yours from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 82. East wind 8 to 10 mph.
Friday Night-40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly cloudy with a low around 68. East southeast wind 8 to 10 mph.
