0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 2/14/25
*No advisories as of yet as we are looking to see strong winds today. Even with temps in the mid to upper 40’s, it will seem a lot colder. Keep a jacket handy. This said, 2 fronts in our future, one on Saturday morning with the second one, late Monday into Tuesday. Saturday, we’ll see dropping temps and a low chance for some rain and maybe some winter precip. That said, the front on Monday will bring arctic air back into the area along with a good chance for WINTER precipitation. High temps will stay below freezing through late next week after the Monday front pushes through. WHERE DID I PUT MY JACKET?
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny this morning, then becoming mostly cloudy. Windy and not as cool with highs in the mid-40s. South winds 15 to 25 mph, increasing to 25 to 30 mph this afternoon.
Tonight- Mostly cloudy and breezy. Not as cool. Near steady temperature around 40. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re best prepared with it, than without it.
