0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 1/10/25

*WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT THIS MORNING UNTIL 9 AM

* It continued to snow overnight and it lightened up quite a bit. After doing some measuring around 3 am, we’ve received 3.5 inches of snow. Anyone that has more than this around the county, please let me know. It will continue to snow early this morning then dryer air will start filtering in. Overall, it was pretty cool seeing the snow but it will give us some much needed moisture. Road conditions are rough. If you don’t need to be out, stay at home. Even yesterday, some folks just needed to stay off the road.

Temperatures will have a tough time climbing since we have snowpack to deal with. Again, driving conditions will be hazardous for a few days even with sunshine forecast for later today and possibly tomorrow. We’ll see what happens.

Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Cold with lows around 16. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
