0300L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 01/05/24

*Rain and maybe a snowflake or two are in the forecast this morning as a trough works through the area. A winter weather advisory is in effect for counties north, northwest and northeast of us into Kansas. A slight chance for snow “could” occur here until roughly 0700L but minimal effects are expected. Mainly rain here today as it appears. Late Monday into Tuesday may be a different story. More to come over the weekend as forecasts verify.

Today- Cloudy. A chance of rain and snow showers likely this morning, then a slight chance of rain showers this afternoon. Areas of fog this morning, then patchy fog this afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation. Highs in the lower 40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Tonight- Patchy fog in the evening. Mostly cloudy. Cold with lows around 30. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
