0400L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/16/23

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re NOT PREPARED without it.

* We had some wind gusts around 60-70 mph and it wouldn’t surprise me if some gusts were a little higher. We received around ½ inch of rainfall. We really lucked out that we didn’t have the tornado threat here that was experienced in western and southern Oklahoma. We’ll see additional chances over the next several evenings and overnight hours.

* Please send damage reports to us if you sustained any damage. This can be done over the GARFIELD COUNTY EM app under DAMAGE REPORTS.

Overall, we’ll be ok but expect thunderstorms overnight tonight and later on Saturday afternoon and evening. Here is your forecast for today from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Highs in the mid-80s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
