FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

We are in a GENERAL RISK for thunderstorms but as stated yesterday, they won’t happen everywhere all the time. The biggest threat area will be south and southeast. Does this mean we won’t see anything? NO. There may be a storm or two. For our area, they would be isolated/scattered. I wouldn’t change your plans but as previously stated, keep an eye to the sky and adjust as needed.

Now if storms do occur, wind and small hail would be the threats. We don’t expect severe but as you all know, that can still happen due to wind speed and hail size. Just stay aware of conditions and everything should be ok.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
