FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

It’s Saturday and now it’s most likely to rain. We are still under that GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK AREA but overall, nothing is very organized out there. We received a little rain during the overnight hours and there are still a few small cells around the area at 0400 local time. Most likely we’ll have showers off and on during the day.

Don’t change your plans but just stay weather aware. Lightning and gusty winds along with possibly heavy rainfall would be the risks if storms occur here today. Lightning being the biggest threat. Use good common sense when making plans and have that backup plan in place in case it rains.

Here is your forecast for today:

Saturday- 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70’s with ESE winds 5-10 mph.
Saturday Night-50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 65. East southeast winds around 5 mph becoming calm this evening.

HAVE A SUPER DAY AND BE SAFE!!
