0415L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-3/22/19

1- Today looks to be another nice day but you may notice southeasterly winds and a “hint” of moisture in the air. We do have a storm system out west that will start to affect us later this evening and overnight.  YES, we may see and hear thunderstorms during the overnight hours. Severe weather is not expected but remember it can occur.

2- There are still a few questions concerning what and where things may actually happen but we’ll keep an eye out and advise accordingly. One thing is for sure; if you plan on traveling out west, check the forecast at your destination.

3- I will update this after the mid-day discussions and outlooks come out. MEANTIME, be sure you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. This app belongs on your phone.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night-A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Low around 48. Southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Have a great day!!
