0410L-FRIDAY UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-3/8/19

1- We are downgraded from marginal to general BUT depending on how the approaching mess comes together we still may see some rainfall. We’ll have to keep an eye out on this. As stated yesterday, no need for panic!

2- Also as I stated yesterday, the forecast did change and if you plan on traveling east or southeast, especially later tonight and early Saturday, keep a close eye on the weather along your route and destination. It could get a bit tense.

3- Overall, just stay WEATHER AWARE today and over the weekend and we’ll see what happens. It appears that Tuesday may be our next chance for rain in the area.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Slight chance of drizzle and fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy with a high near 52. North winds 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Friday Night- Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm mainly after midnight. Cloudy with a low around 46. Southeast winds 5 to 15 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
