0325L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 05/17/24
*GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. Keep up with the latest from GCEM and the NWS, in detail. Download it today.
*We have a stationary front that has been hanging out around the area that will hopefully be pushed out during the morning hours. We’ll experience light northerly winds for a while and then winds will become southerly but very light this afternoon. We do have a low chance for thunderstorms but nothing severe appears to be evident, at least right now.
* Overall, we’ll be ok so enjoy the warmer weather but keep one eye on the sky. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Mostly cloudy, then becoming mostly sunny. Patchy fog. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
*Finally, I may be testing the live broadcast procedure with the laptop today so If I do go live a few times, don’t panic, it’s only a test.
Our next severe weather possibility will come in the Sunday/Monday timeframe.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
