0315L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 05/18/24

*GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK later today IF storms backbuild this far south out of Kansas. Timing, if they occur will be from 4 to 11pm. Severe weather isn’t expected. On Sunday, we’ll be in a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather. Same scenario if storms backbuild this far south out of Kansas. Hail and winds, right now, will be the main threats. Timing on those would be roughly 4 to 11 pm too. We’ll see what happens.

*It will be noticeably warmer starting today with highs in the 90’s so get out there and enjoy mowing the yard, watching ball games, soccer games, etc. Sunscreen may be of help later today if you don’t want to feel like a french-fry tonight.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Patchy fog this morning. Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
