*The cold front made it into the area but with no rainfall. Yesterday we saw the dirt flying north with those strong south winds. Today, we’ll see that dirt return to the south from the north with strong northerly winds gusting upwards of 25 mph. The highest wind gust in our area yesterday was 45mph at the Lahoma Mesonet site.
*The Fire Danger is still elevated so continue to use extreme caution and call 911 to report any smoke/fire you happen to see. Monday and Tuesday will be our next high Fire Danger days with forecast winds being high. Over the weekend, it will be sunny and cooler with fairly light winds.
*Overall for today, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny, cooler with highs in the mid-70s. North winds 15 to 20 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-40s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
