0300L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/04/24

* A cold front is moving our way and because there’s virtually no moisture to work with, it’ll be a dry one. You will notice slightly cooler temps and a wind shift. Another front pushes through on Sunday with the same conditions, a little bit cooler air then we warm back up.

*There is a strong possibility that we may not see any measurable rainfall for the next several weeks. We are under drought conditions right now and have been for months. The fire danger is increasing so use EXTREME CAUTION while utilizing anything related to fire.

*Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast 3-DAY forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs around 90. West winds around 5 mph, becoming north this afternoon.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the lower 60s. North winds around 5 mph, becoming south after midnight.

Saturday- Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Saturday Night- Clear. Lows in the upper 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday- Sunny. Highs around 90. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Sunday Night- Clear. Lows in the mid-50s.
