0255L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/05/24
*There is a comms issue which is affecting the KVNX, KTLX, AND KFDR WSR 88D WEATHER RADARS. Not too worried since there is no storm chances for a while. This said, most apps that are used on your phones may NOT be up to date. Hopefully this comms issue will get resolved.
*Weather-wise, we’ll be dealing with warmer temps today as winds increase out of the south with some gusts upwards of 25 mph. We ask that there be NO controlled burning. We are very dry, as everyone is aware, and it won’t take much to get things started. If you see smoke and or fire, call 911 immediately so a quick response can be sent.
*Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast for this weekend from the NWS/NORMAN;
Saturday- Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Saturday Night- Clear. Lows in the upper 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday- Sunny. Highs around 90. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday Night- Clear. Lows in the mid-50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
