0315L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 7/8/24
*GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK for today into the evening hours. Chances will be higher this morning and then lessening this afternoon into the evening hours. After today, we start the warmup that normal July weather brings to us and we should be back to temps near 100 by late week.
*Thank you to those that gave me their rainfall totals as this helps with where heavier and of course, lighter amounts occurred. On average, we received around 2 inches of much needed rainfall and I am glad it came rather slowly. As soon as this dries up the Fire Danger will increase and we’ll continue that mess through the rest of the summer.
*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today-Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall this morning. Highs in the lower 80s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Tonight-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly clear after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Have a good day!
