0330L- MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/10/23

*We have yet another chance for showers and possibly thunderstorms later today as another shortwave trough moves through the area. Severe weather is not expected but isn’t out of the question. IF storms occur, the tornado threat will be very low but hail and winds would be the main issues if storms do go severe. We’ll see what happens as the day progresses.

*We are in an EXTREME DROUGHT and the Fire Danger today is LOW.  Call 911 if you see any smoke or fire.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly clear after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
