0300L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/24/23

*HOPE. Hope is what we need to be thinking right now as ingredients hopefully come together to receive some rainfall. We are forecast to receive around 1.5 to 2 inches of rainfall this week so if it does rain in your area, keep track of it and we’ll total everything up around Thursday. There are possibilities for some severe weather but that is mainly focused south of us. All of this mess isn’t set in stone where everything may happen so stay flexible in your thinking and we’ll take this day by day.

*The FIRE DANGER should remain LOW this week. We ask that you use good common sense on doing any CONTROLLED BURNING. There is NO BURN BAN in place but winds, on any given day, may be a factor around the area. Just use extreme caution. If you see any smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday-Patchy frost in the morning. Sunny in the morning, then partly sunny with a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Monday Night-Cloudy. A chance of showers in the evening, then showers likely after midnight. Lows in the mid-40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
