0345L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/25/23

* The cold front that passed through the area will creep back up towards our area today, as a warm front, giving us a good chance for rain. There is also a chance for severe weather along that line. Where will that boundary be later today? We’ll be watching that closely as hail and strong winds would be the main threats if it were to reach us.  The higher threat for severe weather is in SW Oklahoma so we’ll see what happens.

*The FIRE DANGER is LOW. There is NO BURN BAN in place. Just use extreme caution if you decide to do any controlled burning. Winds could be a factor so pay close attention to that. To the public, if you see any smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Showers. A chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the lower 50s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Tonight- Showers with a chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the mid-40s. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
