FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-MONDAY 8/28/17
Rain chances have gone away from us for a while and temps will remain about the same. Winds today may be a bit gusty but overall, a good day. Get out and enjoy the last week in August and we’ll see what September brings us.
We continue to advise NO TRAVELING into eastern and southeastern Texas due to TS HARVEY. It extremely dangerous in some areas. Search and rescue operations will be on going as the rain will continue for the better part of the week. Don’t become part of the problem by self-deploying to those areas. Let officials in their respective jurisdictions do their jobs and they will request folks as conditions allow.
