0330L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-02/20/23

* A weak front has traversed the area so temps here will be cooler than the southern part of the state. Winds will be light both today and tonight. If anyone decides to do any controlled burning today, winds will be 5-10 mph from the northwest. Fire can create it’s own weather so use extreme caution if burning today. If a mistake is made, call 911, and the proper response will be sent.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy this morning, then becoming partly sunny. Highs in the mid-60s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west this afternoon.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. Northeast winds around 5 mph.

* STORM SEASON is on its way. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE Spotter training will take place on March 15th at 216 West Oxford at our ANNEX facility here in Enid. We will hold this in the Sheriff’s training room on the west side of the building. This is OPEN to the Public. More details in the coming days.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
