FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Some ice came, some rain came, and hopefully the sun will TRY to shine sometime today. Overall we faired ok through the winter storm. There were a few outages and they were dealt with pretty quick. The worst was out west so keep those folks in mind as OGE folks and contractors work to get power restored. Winds played a big factor all through the area as there was quite a bit of ice on power lines and on trees. Had we had strong winds, there would have been many more areas where power would probably still be out. This said, I will be short and sweet for today.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday-20 percent chance of showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. South wind 8 to 14 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.Monday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
