0315L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 1/20/25

*We have a chance for snow today and another cold front is expected to push through later today. This front will bring much colder air with it. Use extreme caution while outdoors. We are just east of a winter weather advisory area in which 1-2 inches of snow may be possible. For our area, we may see about an inch or so. This could change so we’ll see how this mess comes together. Look on the bright side, we should be back into the 30s on Wednesday afternoon.

*We will be under a COLD WEATHER ADVISORY STARTING AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT UNTIL 9AM on Tuesday. We could see low wind chill temps to -3 below zero overnight.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Snow accumulation around an inch possible. Cold with highs in the mid-20s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west this afternoon.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers in the evening, then clear after midnight. Cold with lows around 4 above. North winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of snow 20 percent. Wind chill values as low as 3 below.
