0340L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/18/22

1- Hot and dry again this week with little to no chance for rain. A front that passed through the area yesterday has stalled in the southern part of the state. Dryer/ cooler air is the result. Our high today should only be around 100. Tuesday will be a dangerous day as temps look like they will top out around 110 or so. Winds will remain light 10-15 mph.

2- Overall, we’ll be ok, just a little well done.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, hot with highs around 100. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

4- I know everyone is tired of the heat. We are too. The FIRE DANGER is climbing so please be extremely careful out there. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately. If you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app and call 911 with a fire situation, tap the “WHERE AM I” icon and it will give you your location, that is, if you haven’t turned location services off. Just sayin.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
