0410L-MONDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-7/6/2020

1- Warm with light winds and a very slight chance for thunderstorms. Basically, a normal early July day. Nothing major to look at this morning other than you need to prepare for actual 100+ degree days towards the end of the week. Rain chances are minimal this week but not totally out of the question. For those that love the heat, get ready, they’re coming. For those that don’t, cooler weather will be here in about 3-4 months.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/ NORMAN;

Today-Partly cloudy. A slight chance of thunderstorms until late afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. Light and variable winds becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

DIRECTORS COMMENT:

Our LEPC, Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting set for JULY 15 is cancelled. I have spoken to several of that group and they won’t be able to attend. The July meeting is usually a lightly attended meeting anyways due to vacations and such so we’ll reconvene in November.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
