0345L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/14/21

1- HOT AND HUMID but a little less so than yesterday. We will be under the influence of an upper high which should keep us hot and dry this week. Models are showing a front that could affect us rain-wise by SATURDAY. Temps on Thursday and Friday may be pushing 100 degrees here. That tells me that dew point temps and humidity will be lower. We’ll see what happens.

2- Harvest should be in full swing this week so if you happen to be driving behind a line of farm equipment/combines, please be patient as they move from one field to another. Also be extremely careful with anything related to fire. A fire in a wheat field right now could be devastating to the property owners. In some cases, this is their only livelihood.

3- Fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Enid and it’s illegal to fire them off of a county road. I will post the laws involved concerning this, this week and I would highly advise folks to heed what you’ll read. People close to home around me are already firing them off at parties they are hosting. Not a good decision. More on this later.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday-Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. Light and variable winds becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night-Clear. Lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds up to 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

HAVE A GOOD DAY AND STAY HYDRATED.
