1-WE ARE IN AN ELEVATED TO NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITION AREA TODAY. NO “CONTROLLED BURNING” TODAY PLEASE. TEMPS MID TO UPPER 90’S, HUMIDITY UPPER TEENS TO 20 PERCENT, SOUTH WINDS 15-20 MPH GUSTING TO 30 MPH.

2- Other than the above, a nice day on tap if you like the heat, eating dirt due to the winds and watching for smoke plumes. Keep one thing to keep in mind concerning smoke plumes, they may seem close because they are very large but do your best to give 911 call takers as good of information as you can. Some plumes could be 10-15 miles away or farther. Either way, we’ll go put it out if fire occurs.

3- Rain appears a little more promising but is forecast at a 20% chance. WE’LL TAKE THAT IF IT WILL OCCUR!! We’ll wait and see. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
