0325L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 3/3/25

*Yesterday we received a little rain but if the forecast verifies on wind speeds, that will dry up fairly quickly today and again tomorrow. We are in a Slight risk area for possibly some severe weather late tonight into Tuesday early morning. A wind Advisory is also in effect Tuesday into Wednesday.

The above stated, it’s going to get windy, there may be a few storms later tonight and some may be severe, so I will post again after our 10 am briefing with any new info. Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Patchy fog this morning. Cloudy, windy with highs in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, becoming south 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph this afternoon.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then showers with thunderstorms likely after midnight. Breezy with lows in the mid 40s. South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
