0310L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 3/4/25
*WIND ADVISORY in effect from 11AM this morning until 6AM Wednesday morning. Winds 25-35 with some gusts upwards of 55 are possible. Secure anything loose around the house and at work.
Other than the above, we lucked out in having any tornadic weather here in the county overnight. We activated some of our spotters for about an hour or so as the storm moved into the Hitchcock area. As it moved towards Hennessey, it fell apart. That worked for me. Some areas of the county received some good rainfall, over an inch, which was radar indicated. Overall, we did ok.
For today, WINDY is the word. Drive carefully especially if you are in crosswinds.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Mostly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Very windy with highs in the lower 60s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, increasing to west 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Tonight-Mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Very windy and cooler with lows in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
