0350L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/12/2020

We will NOT be doing a siren test today in Enid. We are working on several of these and we do have a few that are down. DON’T WORRY, they will be operational by the time we may need them.

1-The WIND ADVISORY has been cancelled. We did receive strong winds above 40 mph at Lahoma-48mph and Breckinridge-45mph but they have laid down quite a bit and will continue to do so as the day wears on. Winds should become southerly later this evening.

2- Dewpoint temps on the low 30s and Relative Humidity in the low 20s will increase our fire danger today. At least the winds won’t be too strong. Continue to keep an eye out for smoke and fire and call 911 if you see any. Remember, we are in a MODERATE DROUGHT currently.

3- Overall, we’re ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Not as warm. Highs in the mid-70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Light and variable winds becoming south around 10 mph after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
MIKE
