0255L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/9/23

*There will be a VOICE SIREN TEST TODAY in Enid at noon. This test will be an automated voice from now on. We are working on a story to update everyone concerning our newer electronic sirens. It will come out in the near future.

*Weather-wise: a front will push through the area later today with no major impacts other than a wind shift. We are expecting a strong cold front in the Thursday/Friday timeframe and that will be the one that lowers our temps for the weekend. Winds will become a factor starting Tuesday and Wednesday with wind gusts upwards of 35-40 mph. Warmer temps are also in store too. We’ll see where we end up on this as we move through the week.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night- Clear. Lows around 50. East winds around 5 mph.

*Finally: If you see smoke or fire call 9-1-1. If you plan a controlled burn, call dispatch at 580-234-3473.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
