0415L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 4/10/21

1- Cooler today and a lot LESS windy. You may see some controlled burning today but rest assured that we are aware of all that get called in.  Yesterday was interesting but overall, no big losses in property to talk about. Enjoy the cooler temps and winds should lay down and become southerly early this evening.

2- We did miss the storms yesterday so no wet ground to speak of. Just remember that we are dry so for those that smoke, please don’t throw any butts out of the window and if you see anything dragging on the ground causing sparks, try to get their attention or call law enforcement. I don’t think they really want to start any fires.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts.

Tonight-Clear. Lows around 40. Southwest winds around 10 mph.

Finally, YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK, several of our rural departments are getting together for structure fire training this morning NE of Hillsdale. When you see smoke and fire up that way, no need to worry, it’s just us playing with fire and the fire trucks. HMM, maybe you should worry! 😊 I’ll post some pics later.

HAVE A GOOD DAY
