0420L-SATURDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/21/18

1- Rain is falling as I write but it will continue to be light in nature. We may have showers intermittently through a good part of the day and then showers this evening. This isn’t a toad strangler but it’s wet. It will also be cooler today and tomorrow. Oh that’s right; it’s the weekend!!

2- We are still in a BURN BAN so please don’t get resourceful and decide to burn anything.  I really don’t want anyone to get in trouble. We will put it out if called because someone saw smoke and or fire and reported it.

3- A NOTE TO ALL FIREFIGHTERS- If you are suffering ANY respiratory issues, don’t just let it go. There was a lot of smoke, soot, dirt, and god knows what else out there. Anything that burned up, especially homes or barns may have had some chemicals that are not designed to be inhaled. Get treated ASAP. I don’t want to see any of my fellow firefighters, law enforcement folks, E.M’S, and civilians down with respiratory issues. This is a dangerous reality. Get treatment before it gets worse.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday-Showers, cooler. Highs in the mid 50s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night-Mostly cloudy. Showers likely, mainly in the evening. Lows in the lower 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of showers 60 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY AND STAY SAFE.

MIKE
