0330L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/29/23

* Rain has ended for now. Next chance will be in the Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe with possibly severe weather on Thursday/Friday. It’s a little complicated but we’ll see what happens.

* What I am asking now is the following; did anyone just let your rain gauges fill this week. I did this on mine to get a weekly total from Tuesday through Friday. My total for the event was 4.25 inches at home and 3.9 at work. Let me know your totals and I will have the NWS folks monitor this post on social media for additional totals for our area. Thank you for helping me do this.

* The drought monitor has us in an EXTREME DROUGHT but as stated yesterday, it was still raining when those calculations were performed. The next issuance will be on THURSDAY. I am sure the drought will lessen some so we’ll see what happens there too.

*For now, we’ll be ok so enjoy the warmer temps and cool nights. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Saturday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming north after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
