0315L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/9/23

*Northerly winds with gusts upwards of 35 to possibly 40 mph will bring some cooler temps into the area today. Winds will subside around sundown. The winds will help increase the fire danger into the elevated category so we ask that NO CONTROLLED BURNING occur today.

*We should see winds become southerly on Sunday and remain fairly light through the coming week. There “may” be a chance, though a low chance, for rain starting on Wednesday. We’ll see how all of this verifies as we get into next week.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny, breezy with highs around 50. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Cold with lows in the mid-20s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
