0420L-SATURDAY UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-2/17/18

1-A little bit of rain drew hope that water can fall from the sky. This is a good sign that we aren’t doomed.  I received 1/8 of an inch of rainfall at the house so let me know if you all received any. SOME IS BETTER THAN NONE.

2- Per forecast guidance, there are low chances of rain at different times this coming week so we can hope we see a little more over time.

3-The rainfall we received will not affect the BURN BAN. No outdoor burning. If anyone sees smoke or fire, call 911 and we’ll get response out there to put the fire out. This moisture will soak in quickly but the grasses are still very dry so please, NO BURNING. It is against state law right now.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday-Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 61. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night-Clear, with a low around 36. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY, DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE AND STAY SAFE
