0400L- SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-02/18/23

* It may seem nice this morning with light winds but that will change dramatically this afternoon as a trough moves our way. Clouds will invade the area and here in northern Oklahoma, we may see a few rain drops but nothing that would amount to anything. Our biggest threat today will be the wind. There could be some gusts upwards of 40-45 mph or a bit higher so secure anything that could take flight out of your yard.

*The FIRE DANGER is NEAR CRITICAL and will continue to be a problem out there due to dead foliage and high winds so use extreme caution if utilizing anything related to fire. NO controlled burning today is advised. Call 911 if you see any smoke or fire.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly sunny this morning, then mostly cloudy with isolated sprinkles this afternoon. Breezy with highs in the lower 50s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear and breezy. Lows in the mid-30s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
