0255L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-02/17/23

* OKLAHOMA, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains. It’s looking like Saturday will be another one of those windy days with gusts upwards of 35-40 mph, maybe a little higher. Until then, today looks good with sunny skies, temps in the upper 40’s, and winds 5-10 mph. Here’s the kicker: Winds will be slowly creeping up throughout this afternoon.

*The FIRE DANGER will also continue to be a problem out there due to dead foliage so use extreme caution if utilizing anything related to fire. Call 911 if you see any smoke or fire.

* Our next chance for any precip appears to be around the middle of next week. Overall, we’ll be ok, just a little windblown so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Cold with lows in the lower 30s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
