0315L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 2/22/25

Its 17 degrees at 0245L which is warmer than it has been since that Monday front came through. That said, the cold air will slowly move out and warmer air will replace it. No complaint here.

This said, It is time to be thinking about severe spring weather. What procedures do you have in place that you utilize when those many types of weather are possible. You really need to be planning for that now while NOTHING is going on. Planning when watches and warnings are in effect is bad planning because emotions get in the way and that’s when bad decisions occur. Be thinking about it. You will need our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. Download it and learn it today. It’s packed full of info and actual detailed info automatically comes through it from GCEM and the NWS.

Here is a link to our PREPAREDNESS GUIDE and it will be updated soon. The info is still valid. https://gcem.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/FamilyPreparednessGuide2019.pdf
