0310L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 7/27/24

*It will be a toasty outside this weekend but temps in the 100s will begin on Monday. As stated before, it will not only be the temperature but the HEAT INDEX that will be a bit tough out there. We’ve gone through this most of the summer so everyone should be prepared for conditions like these. Wear light clothing, stay hydrated, make sure the pets and animals have fresh water, and pace yourselves while doing any work outdoors.

*AS STATED YESTERDAY- we are in a MODERATE DROUGHT and conditions out there will be getting worse as time moves forward so use extreme caution if doing any controlled burning. Keep your eyes peeled out there for ANY suspicious activity. Call 911 or the Sheriff’s office if you see any.

*OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
